28/5/10 - Rethinking the City Conference & Convergence Festival
Posted on: 13/05/10
What are the challenges facing our cities?
What actions and changes do we need to make to future proof our buildings, develop smarter transport systems, and heat and power our neighbourhoods?
How do we reduce our energy dependency, reduce carbon emissions and build resilience in our cities?
How do we motivate people to participate in addressing the ever more complex problems facing us today?
All of these require a systemic and multi- disciplinary approach to enable the development of sustainability and resilience in our communities. This year’s 'Rethinking the City' conference, 'The Resilient City', brings the ideas and people together to explore how we do this. This conference brings together stakeholders from a wide variety of sectors for a radical rethink on how we can transform our cities in these challenging times.
This conference is organised by Cultivate and being held on Friday the 28th of May in the Greenhouse, the new centre for sustainability in the former ENFO building at 17 St Andrews Street, Dublin 2. I've attached a PDF with a complete schedule of the day and a Registration Form which should be completed and returned to me if you would like to purchase tickets.
This event is being hosted as part of the annual sustainable living festival, Convergence, and spaces at this conference are limited, so I would be grateful if you could let me know as soon as is possible whether you would wish to attend.
Full details of all the Convergence Festival events are posted on our web-site at:
