Due to the current economic climate sponsorship for bursaries is currently unavailable. In the past the ESAI invited applications for a summer student bursary from undergraduate students in environmental sciences or environment-related disciplines to support their participation in active research during the summer.

The student was expected to work under the supervision of a member of academic staff on a project of direct interest to the Department/Centre in a recognised academic Institution on the island of Ireland.

The ESAI supported a student for a maximum of eight weeks at €200 per week.

Each student should submit only ONE application to this scheme containing the following:

One paper copy or electronic copy of the completed     application form

Letter of support from supervisory academic

CV of the student including educational achievements to     date
